Tribute & Message From The Family

In Loving Memory

Message From The Family

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Please enhance this tribute to Dewitt by adding your memories and photos.

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, Dewitt Robinson peacefully departed this life. God extended his almighty hand of love and closed the eyes of our loved one indicating that his task on earth was done.

Dewitt was born on May 20, 1949 in Halifax, North Carolina to the late Willie Carter and Henry Robinson.

In 1972, Dewitt began working for Colonial Parking. He was an employee favorite as he typically went in earlier than his shift started and stayed for a while once his shift ended. They knew what a joy it was to have Dewitt working there and ultimately gave him is own garage to manage. Dewitt stayed with Colonial Parking for 43 years, finally retiring in 2015.

Dewitt LOVED to be on the go and he had many hobbies. These hobbies included fishing, listening to oldies but goodies, visiting with family and friends and taking trips to the casino where he often won.

He was preceded in death by 3 of his brothers Henry, Norman and Carl and one sister Vanessa.

He leaves to cherish his memory 5 sisters Mildred, Barbara (Lawrence), Wilhelmina, Audrey, and Gwen (George), and 2 brothers John (Janice), and Hanks (Gladys) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
