Obituary

Percy Beverly Jr was born on August 15,1957 to Florence Beverly and Percy Beverly Sr. He was born in Washington DC. Also known as "Embay", "Em-Do", or "Do" he was a very hard-working man. There was no task put in front of him that he couldn't accomplish. He was the best friend anyone could've asked for. He always was willing to lend an ear and a hand to help people in any way that he could. He was a big jokester with an infectious laugh. He had no filter and would say whatever came to mind. No one could easily rattle him or get him upset except for our mother. He loved our mother with all his heart and he was the best father any child could've had.
He received his education in the DC public school system. He possessed skills in multiple areas such as boxing, carpentry, painting, electrical engineering, plumbing, automotive, and sketching. He worked as a Maintenance Engineer at National Rehabilitation Hospital for nearly 15 years. He received multiple awards and recognitions for his outstanding and dedicated services before he had to retire. While there he also developed some everlasting friendships.

He is preceded in death by his parents Florence and Percy Beverly Sr, his older sister Theresa Beverly, his younger brother Reginald "Pee-Wee" Beverly and his son Anthony Wilson Sr. He leaves behind his wife Saundra Beverly, his children Tiaira Beverly-Grimes (Mark Grimes), Shijuan Beverly-Moses (David Moses), Latia Beverly, Rhonda Wilson, Latisha Bailey, Dye-Mon "Moe-Moe" Bradley, Alden Wilson, and Sharon Waters (William Waters), and daughter in-law Alexandra Wilson. His siblings Darryl Brown, Wanda Beverly (Mark Craig), Tyrone Beverly (Cynthia Beverly), and Tonya Beverly (Billy Moss), his aunt Irene "Dee-Dee" Johnson, 15 nieces, 15 nephews, 34 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
